I år kunde vi inte genomföra det traditionella Valborgsfirandet med publik på plats. Men, vi kunde dela det med er digitalt! Hos SVT Nyheter Stockholm publicerades under Valborgmässoafton ett specialinspelat firande som på så vis kunde glädja många.
Se firandet från ett folktomt men vackert Hågelbyparken. Vi hälsar våren välkommen med körsång, brasan tänds på dammen och en trumpet sprider vackra toner över vidderna:
Valborgselden har en förmåga att beröra människor och vi har sedan urminnes tider samlats kring elden för trygghet och värme. Eld är en grundläggande förutsättning för fortsatt liv och är en glädjande symbol för vårens ankomst. Vår förhoppning är att just du ska hitta en paus i stunden, kanske känna glädje, sorg eller hopp.

A different kind of Valborg celebration
This year, we were not able to carry out the traditional Valborg celebration with an audience in place, which of course feels both strange and sad. But, we could share celebration with you in another way. At SVT News Stockholm a digital celebration was published during the day and you are warmly welcome to enjoy it!
Watch the fire light up in a deserted but beautiful Hågelbyparken:
We greet the spring with traditional choral singing, the fire lights up as usual on the pond from Lake Aspen and a trumpet spreads beautiful tones across the landscape.
The Valborg fire has an ability to touch people and we have since ancient times gathered around the fire for security and warmth. Fire is one of the basic elements of human life and has through history been a basis for our survival.
We hope that this different kind of Valborg celebration will give you a break in the moment, perhaps space to feel joy, sadness or hope.
